LOVE AND MEANING
Instinctively craving happiness as a human being I can train the mind for a specific brand of happiness, such as sattvika sukham.

Sattvika sukham refers to the highest form of happiness, spiritual happiness, or the divine bliss born out of self-knowledge itself. It is characterized by inner peace and lasting fulfillment distinguishing itself from mere temporary pleasures.
By practice, the mind begins to revel in and enjoy the specific brand of happiness chosen. Here, with sattvika sukham, there’s revelation in every, ordinary moment. This is what is called sattvik pleasure, or spiritual joy.
The beauty is that it is sourced from inside and is no longer derived from external sources, this is the unique inner ananda (pure bliss). The glory of sattvika sukham or spiritual ananda is that it is wisdom-based and knowledge is never subject to loss. Indeed it only increases in due course in terms of clarity. This is the unique wealth which cannot be stolen nor taxed. If it’s shared it only increases. Knowledge-based ananda will be lifelong. Knowledge-based peace of mind will be lifelong. Here, there’s no more anxiety. That is what’s called sattvik pleasure, spiritual joy.
Warning: sattvika sukham is not easily attained and requires effort. One must embark on the long, winding road of spiritual practice beginning with karma yoga, purification of mind, meditation, and the cultivation of values, requiring a deliberate, committed life. It can seem like an uphill task in the beginning because it involves discipline. Seems like, as with anything, the full price must be paid, including the efforts involved in spiritual growth.
