The Yoga Dad
The very same ancient yoga is this which has been taught by me to you now, because you are my friend and devotee. This indeed is the highest secret. Bhagavad Gita 4.3
The Yoga Dad: A true yogi, he has followed the karma yoga way of life, which has resulted in purification of the mind. This means getting rid of some unhealthy ways of thinking, which are the mental impurities. Having moved from embittered & sorrowful to enlightened & content, the yoga dad is one who has opened the channels of communication and is available for listening. Thus this yogi’s capacity for discernment and perceiving subtleties has increased exceedingly. He has already grasped that understanding reality is not that simple and fully appreciates that understanding reality is a very rewarding pursuit.
He has understood a welcomed truth, that ‘I am ever-the-seer, never the seen,’ and is the intelligent one who chooses the infinite when both the finite and infinite are available right in front of him. As he deliberately entertains certain thoughts he comes to know the highest secret, the uttamam rahasyam, that self knowledge is considered the greatest wisdom. He will share his wisdom and it will happen at the right time alone. The definition of a friend is one whose duty it is to suggest his solution to you; to give out his wisdom. This yoga dad is considered a true friend. May we all have a true yoga dad.
